Position Overview

Out of town work is required on almost every project. You will travel throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Hawaii and the South Pacific.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bolted Tank Foreman to lead our tank installation crews and oversee the construction of bolted steel tanks. The Bolted Tank Foreman will be responsible for coordinating all on-site activities, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

1. Lead and supervise installation crews in the construction of bolted steel tanks, including tank erection, bolt torqueing, sealing, and other related activities.

2. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that construction projects are completed according to specifications, schedules, and budgets.

3. Oversee all on-site activities, including safety inspections, quality control, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

4. Train and mentor crew members, providing guidance and support to ensure that work is performed safely and effectively.

5. Monitor project progress, track milestones, and address any issues or delays that arise during construction.

6. Maintain accurate records of all construction activities, including daily progress reports, safety inspections, and any changes or deviations from the original plans.

7. Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, providing updates on project status, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.

8. Ensure that all equipment and tools are properly maintained and used in accordance with safety regulations.

9. Promote a positive work environment and foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Job Specifications

Qualifications:

- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

- Minimum five-years' bolted tank experience or equivalent required.

- Supervisory experience preferred.

- Experience in equipment operation, assembly and construction of steel structures or concrete is preferred.

- Proven leadership abilities, with the ability to effectively manage crews and coordinate on-site activities.

- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, as well as safety regulations and industry standards.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and drawings.

- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as operating heavy machinery (e.g., forklifts, cranes).

- Must be able to pass site-specific background checks and drug screens.

Licensure / Certification:

- Valid driver’s license required.

- Have current or able to obtain within the first 30 days of employment:

OSHA - 30-hour training

CPR / Frist Aid

Personal Protective Equipment

Confined Space Certification

Forklift and Arial Lift Certification

Fall Protection

Rigging

Scaffolding

Hand tools

Ladder use

This training is provided by the company for all new hires.

Physical Demands:

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.

- Performs extensive physical activities including heavy lifting, up to 100lbs, and considerable bending and kneeling. Lift, carry, or guide machine aided movement of assembly materials such as steel sheets, channels, tubes, mechanical fasteners, and other items as requested/needed for bolted tank assembly.

- Work at heights up to 64 ft. using fall protection and scaffolding.

Work Location and Environment:

- Requires working outdoors in all types of weather conditions at industrial and commercial construction job sites.

- Travel is required and can be to remote locations for extended periods of time, 4 to 12 weeks per project.

- Ability to travel domestically (our territory) between multiple locations.
