Metal shop in SE Portland seeks skilled full-time employee to help with growing production demands.
Production Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Set up, production, and finishing of various metal products
- Quality control
- Process improvement and troubleshooting
- General shop maintenance
Required qualifications:
- At least two years of experience in a metal shop
- Experience with presses, grinders, TIG and MIG welding, oxy/fuel torches, plasma torched , forges, tumblers, and buffers.
- Ability to read tape measure and calipers
- Algebra and geometry skills
- Available for work during business hours (M-Th, 7am-3:30pm)
- Ability to track job time and materials
