Qualified applicants must bring:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience managing multi-acre, multi-use landscapes or a degree in Horticulture and/or Landscape Tech with a minimum of one-year gardening in a comparable setting.
Basic landscape construction skills, techniques, and concepts
Exhaustive exposure to PNW-appropriate plants and experience with all aspects of their care and needs.
Experience with organic fruit, vegetable, and herb gardening
An ability to collaborate with other departments effectively
Experience programming, maintaining and trouble-shooting complex, in-ground irrigation systems
An understanding of turfgrass care
Knowledge of basic soil types and strategies for soil and soil nutrient management.
A basic understanding of low-voltage lighting systems and their upkeep
Experience operating and maintaining light-duty tractors and comparable machines
The ability to effectively use many Microsoft and other software products
Community
Resurrection of historic buildings and properties in large and small Northwest communities
Giving back financially to local schools and non-profits near each location
Helping other local businesses grow with collaborative products
