McMenamins Edgefield is Now Hiring a Seasonal Edible Landscape Assistant!

This position is temporary, based on business need, and intended to end in late October 2025.

McMenamins is a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington serving our own handcrafted beer, wine, cider, spirits and coffee alongside good, honest pub fare. From the lovely vegetable gardens, grown using organic methods (and which provide seasonal ingredients for the Black Rabbit Restaurant & Bar), to the herb garden, orchard, vineyards (which supply our winery) and collection of perennials and trees - this is just a sampling of what Edgefield's gardens have to offer.

Responsibilities: Primary job duties will include assisting the Edible Landscape Coordinator with all aspects of the fruit

and vegetable garden production and maintenance. Other duties will include: Weeding, mulching, working in the gardens to prepare them for the winter season and an overall an “extra hand” on the Edgefield Garden Staff.

Requirements:

Working outdoors in all weather conditions

Knowledge of plant material and gardening experience

Experience with vegetable garden production, orchard care and temperate fruit

Experience with tractor care and related power equipment a plus

Willing to “dig in” as needed

Safely lift and carry heavy objects

Have a flexible schedule; primary shifts are Mon - Fri during day-time hours

Work well independently and in a group
