Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Printer to join our team. The Manual Printer will be responsible for operating manual printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate manual printing presses and related equipment to produce various printed apparel.
- Align and position screens to ensure accurate placement on materials.
- Monitor the printing process to ensure consistent quality and make adjustments as needed.
- Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring they meet the company’s quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on printing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Clean and maintain work areas, including screens, presses, and tools.
- Keep records of completed jobs, including details such as ink usage, materials used, and job specifications.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience as a manual printer or in a similar role preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with different types of inks, materials, and printing techniques.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with screen printing, or other manual printing techniques.
- Knowledge of color theory and the ability to match colors accurately.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve printing issues.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work in a workshop environment with exposure to inks, solvents, and other chemicals.
- May require lifting of heavy materials and standing for long periods.
- Flexible working hours may be required to meet production deadlines.
