Lead Solar Installer - LRT or NACEB Board Certified

Neil Kelly is looking for experienced solar installers to join our Portland team. You must be a certified Limited Renewable Technician (LRT) or NABCEP Board Certified. As an LRT, you will be responsible for installation and design of residential and commercial PV Solar Systems. You will enjoy regular full-time hours with paid vacation and sick time, holidays and weekends free.

Skills & Qualifications:

3+ years of industry experience

Licensed Limited Renewable Technician or NABCEP Certified equivalent.

Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills.

Dependable, team-oriented and able to perform high quality work.

Ability to speak, read, and understand English and be competent in construction math.

Physical exertion includes carrying, lifting, climbing, crawling, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, hauling and lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted.

You must provide your own vehicle and have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance. Regular travel between job sites is required.

Day-to-Day Duties:

Consultation, design and installation of PV solar systems.

Site surveys and pre-installation walk-thru.

Set-up and maintain safe worksites.

Work with clients to achieve their goals.

Provide guidance and on-the-job training for apprentices.

Support lead electrician in the installation of solar electric systems. Provide expertise on older PV systems.

Shop / Vehicle maintenance and inventory.

Solar electric service, including on-site estimates, completion of work and collections of balance due.

Pulling inventory for each installation job.

Pre-assemble job components in the warehouse prior to starting a job.

Layout and assembly of solar modules / array and mounting hardware.

Mechanical / structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment.

Completing all documentation for completed installations.

Additional duties required as needed.
