We are seeking a skilled and experienced handyman/technician to join our team specializing in travel trailers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various systems within travel trailers, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and structural components.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct routine inspections of travel trailers to identify any issues or potential problems.
2. Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, lights, and appliances.
3. Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, such as leaks, clogs, and faulty fixtures.
4. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning and heating units.
5. Inspect and maintain structural components of travel trailers, including roofs, floors, walls, and frames.
6. Install, repair, or replace various components and accessories, such as awnings, windows, doors, and slide-outs.
7. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating hinges, tightening screws, and checking seals.
8. Ensure all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and according to safety standards.
9. Keep detailed records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and inventory of parts and supplies.
10. Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance recommendations.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a handyman or technician, preferably in the RV or travel trailer industry.
2. Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
3. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems effectively.
4. Proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
5. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
8. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
9. Willingness to travel to different locations as needed.
10. Certification or training in RV maintenance and repair is a plus.
