Maintenance Engineer (Day and Swing Shifts Available)

The hourly rate for this role is $28.84 per hour.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF ME IN THIS ROLE?

Guestroom Requests: Respond to service requests in guestrooms in a timely and efficient manner. Help our guests feel cared for so they can be their best.

Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs in guestrooms and on hotel mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen systems and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations.

Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve technical issues problems to minimize downtime and disruptions to guest experience and operations.

Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms, equipment failures, power outages, or safety hazards, and take action to mitigate risks and restore normal operations.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, equipment performance, and any incidents or repairs carried out during your shift.

Communication: Collaborate closely with other members of the engineering team and hotel colleagues to coordinate activities and share relevant information.

Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety, and implement or assist with changes.

Adhere to Safety Regulations: Strictly adhere to all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and guests.

Qualifications:

Available to work various morning and evening shifts (mainly between either 7 AM to 3:30 PM, or 3 PM and 11:30 PM) during any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.

Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Strong technical skills and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or HVAC systems.

Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

Ability to use a multimeter to troubleshoot electrical problems.

Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
