CNC Programmer/Router Lead - COMPRESSED WEEKEND SHIFT

Location: Tigard, Oregon

Compensation: $34-38/HR DOE

Shift: FRI/SAT/SUN (5am - 5:30pm)

What You’ll Do:

CNC Programming in a high tech, plastics manufacturing environment implementing, stabilizing, controlling and improving the machining processes. Facilitate process improvements with operators while working with operators, engineers, designers and drafters, and MFE’s. Function in leadership role for Programmers I/II and all Router operators to include training and mentoring.

Demonstrate the initiative to help in the training of others. Demonstrate the ability to be a leader. Lead designated staff, assign and monitor work, identify and resolve issues affecting quality or OTD, enforce compliance to applicable HR and Safety requirements, policies, and procedures.

What You Need to Have:

·Contribute in the development and maintenance of manufacturing work instructions and process definitions in a MRP II and ISO 9000 Certified environment.

·Work with CAM/CNC operators in the development of part drawings and part programs.

·Work with Production personnel and Manufacturing Engineering to improve quality, yield and productivity.

·Work with CNC operators to assure optimal operability of machine tools and equipment.

·Write and develop CNC programs from geometry and hardcopy engineering drawings.

·Convert CAD files, generate part drawings and analyze part geometry while working in CAM program.

·Create tool paths, NC codes and set-up sheet in CAM program.

·Be able to communicate issues related to work orders, drawings, part shortages and machine errors.

·Team leadership required, mentor Programmer I and II.

Required:

6-8+ years of Programming/Router experience

Ability to identify and weld different plastics – WPP, NPP, All PVC material, FRPP, PE, Polycarbonate, CPVC, PVDF, FM4910, Acetal, Acrylics, PET, PEEK, UHMW, HDPE, PTFE, PFA Materials.
