Building Air Sealing Field Technician

Northwest AeroBarrier provides an innovative air sealing service to help contractors in Oregon and Southwest Washington build high efficiency homes and meet State Energy Code requirements. We are a high performance service provider and are seeking candidates who are eager to provide the highest quality service and knowledge to our clients as well.

This position primarily entails indoor construction work, ensuring you’re shielded from outdoor weather conditions during work. We seek individuals with unwavering dependability, a strong work ethic, and a drive to evolve alongside our business. Applicants will need to have experience with both leadership and team collaboration as they will be responsible for managing jobs. Applicants must be able to follow a proven system as well as troubleshoot problems as they arise. This is a Field Technician role with on the job training.

General duties will include but are not limited to:

Managing each assigned job from start to finish.

Performing project prep duties.

Setting up and operating sealing equipment and its software.

Ensuring homes/buildings are completely set up and ready for sealing.

Troubleshooting and maintaining sealing and other company equipment.

Performing blower door testing.

Timely communication with supervisor of jobsite issues/delays.

Training and mentoring other Field Technicians.

Completing, implementing and enforcing safety training.

Driving and maintaining a company vehicle and trailer.

Ensuring shop supplies are stocked and re-ordered.

Collecting and communicating pre and post-seal information to company platforms in a timely and accurate manner.

Candidates must be flexible to the changing schedules of builders’ construction project schedules.

This position requires occasional out of town travel (usually one-day jobs but sometimes overnight) and occasional long days (12-14 hours). For more on what we do, see additional details and videos at www.northwestaerobarrier.com.

REQUIREMENTS:

A positive, can-do attitude.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to get to and from the jobsite.

Ability to learn to safely drive, tow, hitch and unhitch a company vehicle and job trailer in all weather conditions.

Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally, up to 20lbs frequently.

Cell phone with data plan.

Basic computer knowledge (Google Email/Chat/Calendar).

Schedule flexibility and ability for occasional out of town travel.

Ability to follow instructions and lead a team.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Professionalism among coworkers, clients and other subcontractors.

High attention to detail.

Ability to problem solve.

Ambition and be self-motivated.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.

Provide exemplary customer service to clients and builders.

Ability to wear a tight-fitting respirator.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Interest in building science and high performance building practices.

Previous leadership experience in construction trades, blower testing, or other related fields preferred.

Schedule Types: Part-time to Full-Time based on the typical seasonal fluctuations of the construction sector.

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
