Overview
Arc Strength and Performance is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Personal Trainer to join our small and supportive fitness team as an independent contractor in our training gym. We’re not just a gym—we’re a place to grow your own business, expand your client base, and thrive alongside a small team that values open communication and mutual success. We are a family owned and operated, clients and training only gym. One position available.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong background in physiology, anatomy, and body mechanics, capable of designing effective training programs tailored to individual client needs. You’ll play a crucial role in helping clients achieve their fitness goals through personalized training sessions, education, and motivation.
Perks of Partnering with Us:
Set your own schedule
Set your own rates
Choose to find your own clients or receive client referrals from us
Optional scheduling page on our website
Grow your own business in a clean, low-overhead gym
Be backed by a supportive team that wants to see you succeed
Responsibilities:
Conduct initial fitness assessments to evaluate client goals and establish baselines (for clients you bring in; we’ll handle assessments for those we assign to you)
Design and implement customized workout programs based on clients’ goals, abilities, and preferences
Provide safe, effective one-on-one personal training sessions, ensuring proper technique and injury prevention
Educate clients on body mechanics, healthy habits, and the importance of nutrition
Monitor and adjust programs based on client progress and feedback
Maintain a clean, organized space and uphold equipment standards
Stay current on new exercises and fitness science (and not discredit what already works)
What We're Looking For:
Accredited certification (NASM, ACE, ISSA, or similar)
Trainer liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
Passion for health, wellness, and helping others
Proven knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and program design
Excellent communication and motivational skills
Reliability, self-accountability, and personal drive
Previous experience in personal training or physical education is a plus
Compensation
You’re in control:
Pay “rent” only for the time you use the facility — 25% of what you earn per session
For clients we assign to you, we receive:
50% of the first training contract (6, 9, or 12 months)
30% of renewals — because client retention deserves recognition
