At Cirrus Link Solutions, we develop software products that leverage MQTT and other IIoT technologies to connect, transport, and manage data across many different industries. Responsibilities:
Learn the software created at Cirrus Link Solutions
Provide tier-two customer technical support on customer issues
Analyze logs and code (mostly Java) to come to conclusions about how best to support customers
Work with the development team in identifying and reporting bugs and working to resolve customer issues
Create and maintain customer facing and internal support documentation.
Requirements:
Strong attention to detail
Organized with good troubleshooting skills
Polite and professional communication style, even if under pressure
Being flexible when priorities and plans change due to unforeseen circumstances
Works well in a distributed team - this position is in-office only but we have a team out of state as well
Strong TCP/IP networking background
Strong background in Microsoft Office
Familiarity with distributed/networked systems
Java experience or other OO programming language experience
Knowledge/experience with any of the following a plus:
MQTT
MQTT Sparkplug
Git, Maven, and Jenkins
Industrial protocols (such as Modbus, Canbus, EFM protocols, HART, BACnet, etc)
IIoT
Linux OS and/or Windows OS
C/C/Python/C#/Shell Scripting/Power Shell
Raspberry Pi and/or other embedded platforms
Google Protocol Buffers
Network Security
Jira and Confluence
Cloud Platform and Cloud Deployment Experience (such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Watson, etc)
Education and Experience Required:
In at least third (junior) year of a four year degree program for an IT related field
Previous internships or IT related job experience a plus

Reporting to the office is required
3 month term with extension possible (length of term is negotiable)
Additional opportunities (based on experience and performance over time):
Performing QA test procedures and reporting results to development
Writing automated and manual software test procedures and test software
Developing and testing software
Compensation:
$28 per/hr with no additional benefits
