Under general supervision, this position will enforce property postings related to parking and abandoned vehicles; determine violations and issues non-moving parking penalties. Interacts with the general public to ensure parking compliance and to enhance education and public outreach. The Parking Facilty Monitor works at a variety of parking facilities in Portland, Oregon and will be responsible for issuing parking penalties to vehicles that are in violation of parking rules by performing the following duties:
Independently and safely patrol assigned parking lots and garages and enforce parking regulations; issue non-moving parking citations for violations observed and/or authorize vehicle towing.
Organizes, prioritizes, and responds to complaints from the public.
Provide educational information to violators, the public, business community, and others regarding posted parking restrictions, state and local laws and ordinances; responds to questions, complaints and inquiries.
Enters and maintains data for parking warnings, infractions and citations.
Interacts with a variety of people including: the public, property site employees, property managers, in order to communicate or exchange information and/or respond to inquiries and questions.
Observe and report missing signs and areas where signing or markings are inadequate.
Provide recommendations for needed changes to parking location and related improvements
Provide support and back-up to the Supervisor during periods of absence or heavy case load.
Timely, routine, and regular route attendance and patrol.
Follow/adhere to all company policies and procedures, and safety program regulations and requirements.
Has advanced basic computer job skills including logging on to systems, ability to communicate by email, ability to compose documents
Must have access to smartphone with data plan and incorporate the device to assigned equipment through wifi network
May be required to work during federal and other holidays
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
