On-Call IT Support Technician Level I - Clackamas, Oregon
Assured Technology Solutions is a recognized Managed IT Services provider in the Pacific NW. We have been in operation for over 20 years. We are a Customer-Service driven company that focuses heavily on communication in order to deliver the highest quality IT services to our clients. You will join a friendly team that LOVES technology.
We found ourselves in a need for an on-call tech for the times of high ticket numbers. Hours will vary, it could be zero in one month and up to 80 (or as many as you can work) in another month. We need some availability on evenings, weekends, and night for IT emergencies. You will work as much as you can, with understanding that your main job keeps you busy during the day, but we will exiect at least two shifts per month.
Training opportunities are the same as for our regular employees.
Some work can be done remotely from home during COVID time once you are fully trained.
1+ years of IT support experience are required, but no extensive expertise is needed. You will be provided with the training and tools in order to be successful with the given job responsibilities, and as you succeed, you will be presented with opportunities to advance your career in IT. We employ four levels of technicians.
Success in this role is defined by executing well on the following job responsibilities:
Covering our Help Desk, answering incoming calls, and responding to submitted service requests
Troubleshooting and fixing operating system failures at the desktop level
Network administration
User application support
Printer setups and configurations
Providing an exceptional customer service experience to our customer
Required skills:
One or more years of paid experience in an IT service support role or a similar role. The unpaid experience might be taken into consideration
Current entry-level Industry Certification (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft MTA)
Knowledge of basic Networking Technologies (TCP/IP, AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS, etc.)
Proficiency with Windows-based operating systems
Hardware and Software skills to troubleshoot desktops, laptops, routers, firewalls, printers, and other technical equipment
Self-Motivated with a desire and drive to work hard and grow yourself both personally and technically
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, with the focus on the customer
Detail and task-oriented, flexible
Eager to accept new challenges and ongoing learning
Willingness to work with new technologies
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Available to work, on occasion, during off-hours (overtime pay eligible)
Ability to Multi-Task, prioritize and manage time effectively
Physically capable of lifting computers, printers, servers, and other equipment up to 60 pounds
Reliable work record (references, crim check, driving history)
Reliable transportation, current, and valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
