Local family-owned neighborhood hardware store is looking for Sales Associates.
Westmoreland Ace Hardware is located in Inner Southeast Portland-(Sellwood/Westmoreland).
Westmoreland Ace Hardware is seeking friendly, outgoing and reliable people who will be working with customers and helping on the sales floor. Must provide legendary customer service by offering their knowledge of home improvement repairs. Need to be able to suggest appropriate products and solutions. Discover and suggest add-on sales items to customers. The perfect team member will have already worked in the home improvement field and has retail experience.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Looking for flexibility and must be available to work nights and weekends.
Experience in the hardware store business is a plus!
Applicants would have strong background of plumbing, electrical, painting, general construction etc.
1-2 years prior retail experience
Very high level of customer service skills required.
Need to be able to actively seek out customers to offer assistance.
Be able to lift 50 pounds to load and unload customers orders
Cut glass, keys and small amounts of lumber as requested by customers.
Have some computer knowledge and be able to navigate basic computer programs
This is a full time position.
The days and hours will be
Monday and Tuesday -10:30am - 7:00pm
Wednesday and Thursday- OFF
Friday and Saturday - 10:30am - 7:00pm
Sunday - 8:45am- 5:15pm
