Managing Section Manager
Managing Labor Crews
Scheduling labor of plants, ready for market
Organize harvest and shipping of plants
Plant Health, best practices
IPM, weed control, watering pruning, spacing, fertilization, scouting Proactive use of equipment and new technology, potting machines
Training Staff on nursery growing, safety, inspection of work
Efficiency on going improvement for people and equipment, best practices
Secure and protect plants from wind and adverse hot or cold weather conditions
Water Management
Manage construction projects
Develops consistency of product, and quality
Order Pulling
Quality control
Facility Maintenance
On time management all areas
Qualifications:
Prefer Horticultural degree 2 or 4 years
Work experience minimum 5-year similar growing operation
Prefer English/Spanish
Equipment use of tractor, loaders, forklifts, excavators, tree spade, potting machines
Basic construction skills
Irrigation skills
People management, organization and communication skills
Computer user skills
