Carla Properties Ltd of Portland, OR is seeking to hire a full-time Resident Manager to manage the operations, leasing and maintenance of our 360-unit apartment community in Hillsboro. Hampshire Downs Apartments is a fast-paced community! On average the turnover rate is 38% - 42% per year, meaning there are often several tours daily, 10+ move ins / move outs per month, and a team of 4 office staff and 5 maintenance staff to supervise. If you love property management and you love keeping the details tracked, people informed of priorities and vendors on track with tasks and responsibilities, this will be a great fit for you The community offers two seasonal swimming pools, two year round spas, a playground, 24-hour fitness center, community BBQ, community recreation room, package receiving services and is close to shopping, schools, and parks. If you are new to Carla, feel free to stop in and ask for a community tour! We are open Mon – Fri, 9am – 6pm; Sat 9am – 5pm; and Sun 12pm – 5pm. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A RESIDENT MANAGER

As a Resident Manager, you arrive at the office each day ready to greet visitors to the community, provide information about the property and engage in leasing activities. Your attention to detail assists you as you explain rental policies to residents and oversee workflow including applications, rental agreements and move-in packages. Using Yardi Voyager, you accurately enter data and produce accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports. You get great satisfaction out of making sure that all resident issues are resolved in a professional and friendly manner.

You love working with people and performing a variety of tasks throughout your day. Your Assistant Manager, Leasing Agent and Maintenance Technicians enjoy working with you as you oversee their functions and workflow. At times coworkers may need you to train them on procedures and policies, and you are happy to help. You play an essential role in Carla Properties’ success!

QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years’ of Multifamily Housing Industry experience

3+ years’ of Management experience

Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required.

3+ years’ of Yardi Voyager experience

Do you have knowledge of fair housing laws, excellent customer service and leasing skills? Are you organized and attentive to detail? Can you manage multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced office environment? Are you able to communicate effectively in English with people from many different backgrounds? If so, you may be perfect for this Resident Manager position!

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a full-time position with a schedule of Sunday through Thursday. Sundays 9am – 5pm; Mon – Thurs, 9am – 6pm, total of 39.5 hours per week. This position is Exempt from overtime.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

Monthly salary of $6,200 - $6,800; plus Commissions
