Our Downtown Camas private dental practice is looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to join the team now. We have a beautiful modern office, a wonderful patient population, an enthusiastic team, and a sincere dentist dedicated to quality care. Ideally, someone with previous dental experience of at least a few years would be best. This could be a nice fit for someone that has been or is now a dental assistant and wants to change gears or cross-train in both departments. Our first priorities are a great attitude and a strong work ethic.

13. Can learn fast and become comfortable with referral practices and workflows in a dental setting.

14. Maintains a positive attitude and challenges themself.

15. Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult people and situations with diplomacy and tact

16. Ability to work autonomously, with a high level of accuracy, speed and exhibit a willingness to work with deadlines

Primary Functions:

Complete day-to-day operations of dental office.

Open and close dental office according to office protocol.

Review the office for a neat, professional appearance and make necessary changes.

Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the practice.

Help explain office policy to patients.

Review treatment plans and present financial options.

Answer questions and book appointments for new potential patients that call in.

Check out patients and make follow-up appointments as needed.

Reserve patients with the appropriate time and confirm appointments.

See that records are stored securely and handled in compliance with HIPAA privacy and security regulations.

Run and Work Reports as needed (Recall, A/R, Incomplete Treatment)

Review and input dental codes as needed for appointments.

Work together as a team to cross check reports for daily accuracy on posting of treatment.

Collect payments at time of service and post patients payments.

Verify and update insurance information on all patients.

Submit treatment plans for predetermination of benefits when appropriate.

Coordinate patient referrals when necessary.

Performs other duties as assigned at the discretion of doctor.

Job requirements:

18 years old; High school diploma or equivalent

1- 2 years medical/dental office experience preferred or 2 years in customer service/reception/sales.

Typing ability of 30 wpm net

Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, dental software experience helpful

Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and dental insurance

Carestack experience preferred

Part/Full-time Hours available from 28-38 per week. We are flexible on days per week could be 3 days-5 days; possibly moving from part-time to start and move into full-time.

Hours: Mondays 8:30 am-6:00 pm

Tuesday, Wednesdays & Thursdays 7:30 am-5:00 pm

3 Fridays a month eew 7:30 am-12 pm

Our office is often involved with community events, schools, and work with local clubs. We continually invest in CE training, hands-on classes, and study clubs. We like to learn and we like to have fun and be silly too. We often do things like summer family BBQs, go to events like concerts, or have family over for holiday parties.

Compensation is dependent upon each candidate’s experience. We offer PTO, CE training, Medical Insurance, and 401K after 90 days.

Hourly: Pay will be experience-based.
