Come joint our great team We are a small, growing, relationship-focused bookkeeping firm excited to add an entry-level Administrative Assistant to our team. Our perfect candidate is sharp, eager to learn, and picks up on new software quickly. This position will support the owners and staff to keep daily tasks moving, be a point of contact to our clients, and maintain our small office. This position will work and train directly with the owners in a small office environment, so having the right temperament and personality is key.
As a key member of the team your tasks will include the following items – you will be fully supported with review and guidance on how to perform each item below with success.
- Calendaring
- Data entry into our CRM
- Email inbox management for the owners
- General internal administration work
- Reception
This position will also train on bookkeeping basics and will assist with various monthly bookkeeping tasks to support the senior bookkeepers in the office.
Skills a candidate should have, or through working closely with the owners expect to gain within the first 6 months on the job.
1+ year office experience
Experience and proficiency in various office software – Excel, Word, Outlook, G-Suite, Slack, Dropbox
Proficiency with computers and computer systems
Excellent written communication
This position is 30-40 hours per week, standard business hours. Our office is in Portland (near the Zoo) – this is an in-office position (local candidates only), though some hours may be available as a hybrid-remote option. Background check mandatory. Starting pay is $18-$20/hr
