Job Description:

The Program Manager will have responsibility for the following aspects of program operations:

Supervision of the Team Leaders and Direct Service Person and assisting them in the areas of:

-Orientation, training, and problem-solving

-Scheduling, PTO, Attendance policy

-Client care, Protocols

-ISP process

-Progress notes

-MARs

Other documentation, as required

Complete staff performance evaluations and disciplinary actions:

-Handle and inform the E.D. of personnel issues or complaints in a responsible and timely manner

-Review policies regularly to address the program's appropriateness.

-Responsible for new client interviews, evaluations, intake, and scheduling.

-Communications with Clients & Families

-Support specialists [CMs, PAs], Residential providers & others as appropriate.

Maintain program records and accurate data as necessary, including:

-Safety checklist/inspection

-Fire Drills/Inspections

-Emergency Evacuation plan and drills.

-Coordinate the Safety committee and ensure the safety of those supervised.

-Delegate responsibilities as needed and appropriate to subordinates.

-Provide for the client's physical and emotional well-being in person-centered and culturally competent ways.

Education and Experience

An associate's Degree or two years of college experience is preferred. A high school diploma is considered, as it is an extensive background in direct care workers or volunteering in a relevant service.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills are essential.

Language Skills

The ability to read, write, and speak standard American English.

The ability to write reports, meeting notes, and business correspondence.

Excellent phone skills.

The ability to effectively present information to respond to questions from support specialists, office staff, direct care workers, volunteers, consumers, family members, or the general public.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions

Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables in assessing and resolving problems and making decisions.

Computer Skills

Computer literacy in word processing and spreadsheet programs.

MS Word and Excel are a plus.

Provide direct client care as needed.
