Overnight Respite Direct Support Professional (DSP)

We are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated, and passionate team members to serve as part time and on-call Direct Support Professionals for our overnight respite program known as Bed & Breakfast. Make a difference with each shift and have FUN by supporting adults with disabilities by taking them on outings (bowling, OMSI, Blazer Games, plays, festivals etc), supporting friendships, cooking together and enriching lives daily! 25 hour long shift weekly including paid sleeping. Every Saturday 5:30pm-Sunday 6:30pm in Tigard for $18-$19/hour with major holidays off!

Qualifications:

-High School diploma or GED

-First Aid and CPR is required or will need to be obtained if hired.

-Must be 21 years of age or older

-Must have a valid driver’s license (Driving is required for this position in a QWO vehicle)

-Must be able to pass a criminal background check per State of Oregon standards

Quiet Waters Outreach is a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to serving adults with Developmental Disabilities in Oregon.

Quiet Waters Bed & Breakfast is designed as a weekend stay for guests with developmental disabilities. This gives our guests a chance to make friends, take a vacation from their everyday life and most importantly have fun while in a safe environment.

All positions would be for our Overnight Respite program (QWO Bed & Breakfast) which are part time and will supervise five guests participating in the weekend program.

Tigard location shifts available:

Saturdays at 5:30pm - Sundays at 6:30pm This is a paid sleeping position.

Duties include:

-Providing and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.

-Ensuring the health and safety of adult guests with developmental disabilities.

-Preparing meals for the guests while at program.

-Leading and assisting the guests in worthwhile and enjoyable activities, games and excursions that promote positive social, spiritual and mental growth throughout their stay.

-Assist some clients with mobility, eating and medication administration.

-Driving guests around in the community to activities in organization’s vehicle (ie bowling, arcades, local parks, theaters and much more) in a Ford Transit/Mercedes Sprinter

-Ability to support guests if needing supports around mobility.

Quiet Waters will provide efficient medication training as well as overall training for new employees.

This is a great opportunity for a students whom reside in the area year round or for anyone who seeks weekend employment. Great way to support the community, have fun and log a chunk of hours. Very rewarding and fun position.
