Hello!
We are a local non-profit that offers art outreach and free creative classes to foster and at-risk youth in Oregon and California.
We work to bring color, fun and a sense of self-expression to underserved youth who do not have access to such programs. We believe in the power of art to transform lives and to promote mental and emotional health in youth that need the support now more than ever due to the effects of Covid19.
We are currently looking to add to our team as we are in the midst of fundraising and marketing our current initiatives for the end of 2020 and beginning of 2021. As many non-profits navigate the unknowns of Covid, we have created a online and socially distanced programming plan that is helping youth thrive during this time through creativity.
We have nearly doubled our earnings for the past three years in a row and are looking for someone who is experienced, a self-starter, and innovative to join us to help us continue this momentum. This job is mostly virtual and one can mainly work from home.
We are primarily looking for an added fundraising aficionado, but someone that has experience in non-profit management, youth outreach, graphic design, and art / music, is absolutely an added perk.
Tasks include but aren’t limited to -
Research fundraising opportunities and maintain a thorough database of upcoming grants
Strong writing and editing skills with knowledge of non-profit language
Writing funding proposals and submitting these to potential donors
Implementing a variety of marketing strategies and promotional campaigns including social media marketing
Establishing good relationships with staff, volunteers, and partners
Helping manage volunteer interest and responsibilities with our partnering organizations
Keep track of incoming donations and budget management
This position is currently part time with the opportunity to grow into a full time position.
Hours can vary during the week depending on needs and tasks for that week, so this position is best poised for people who are looking for extra work, or have the opportunity to work with us until the position grows into a full time position.

This position is highly favorable to people who live in the Portland Metro area, as there will be times that we wish to meet in person (socially distanced with masks) for the time being, although most work will be virtual.
