We’re currently seeking two caregivers “Personal Assistants” who will support a man who lives in his own apartment in Westmoreland and experiences developmental disabilities. He is a happy, friendly, and determined person who loves movies, music, and working with his hands. He is eager to work with Personal Assistants who are attentive and respectful.

You will go grocery shopping and run household errands. You will work together on household chores, cooking, and attending medical appointments. He needs assistance with taking medications, managing his diet, and managing his diabetes.

Schedule options listed below:

Schedule 1:

You’ll work 4 shifts per week totaling 36 hours: Monday through Thursday 9a-6p

Schedule 2:

You’ll work 3 shifts per week totaling 27 hours: Friday through Sunday 9a-6p

Benefits:

If you work between 30 to 40 hours per week:

$18.00 per hour. Annual wage increase based on satisfactory performance.

Eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over 40 hours per week.

Holiday pay (double pay for the first 12 hours of any agency holiday shift that you work).

Great medical, vision, prescription, and alternative care coverage (including massage therapy and naturopathy) for employee, spouse/domestic partner, and children.

3 weeks of paid time off per year rising to 4 weeks after 5 years of service at UCP. If you work 30 hours per week on average, your PTO accrual is pro-rated based on the actual hours you have worked every two weeks.

Mileage reimbursement if driving for UCP.

401k retirement plan with up to a 4% employer match.

If you work between 20 to 29 hours per week:

$18.00 per hour.Annual wage increase based on satisfactory performance.

Eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over 40 hours per week.

Holiday pay (double pay for the first 12 hours of any agency holiday shift that you work).

If you work 27 hours per week, you will receive 2 weeks of paid time off per year.

Mileage reimbursement if driving for UCP.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.

Be able to transport clients in your car: be at least 18 years old, have a current driver’s license, a reliable personal vehicle, at least two years of driving experience, auto insurance, and a clean driving record.

Be able to pass a reference check, a physical with a lifting test of 50lbs, and a criminal history background check.

Experience in developmental disability field preferred but not required.
