Responsibilities include:
Leads all logistic and department functions, including training and mentoring employees.
Monitoring shipping requirements via shop management software.
Packaging product and creating packing lists for customer and supplier shipments.
Focus on minimizing transportation and lot charge expenses by combining multiple jobs into single shipments where possible.
Update shop management software as jobs ship.
Receive material and components into shop management software and distribute as required.
Safely operate a fork lift.
Maintain inventory in an organized manner and perform cycle counts per system requirements.
Establish, maintain, and update shipping/receiving procedural guides.
Job Skills / Experience:
Must have experience with ERP and/or shop management software to include Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
Experience in a similar manufacturing environment preferred.
Knowledgeable in overseas and export shipping is a plus.
Able to lift up to 25 lbs without assistance.
Ability to function independently and be a self-starter.
Organized with great attention to detail.
Able to multi-task in a changing environment.
