JOB REQUIREMENTS

To perform this function successfully, an individual must be able to complete all areas outlined for this position in a satisfactory manner. Listed below are representative requirements and preferences of the education, knowledge, skills, abilities and/or licenses necessary to meet the minimum requirements to work at PTP.

EDUCATION:

1. Required: High School diploma or equivalent.

2. Preferred: College degree in construction, engineering, business or related field.

LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:

1. Required: Forklift certification, State of Washington DL

2. Preferred: State of Washington CDL

PHYSICAL:

1. Body Positions: Must be in sound physical condition and able to perform a physically demanding job, which requires standing for prolonged periods of time while operating presses and other machinery. He/she may also be required to sit for long periods of time while performing the managerial functions such as preparation of forms, etc.

2. Body Movements: Lifting, sitting, standing, walking, turning head and torso, bending arms, wrists, hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, machinery and equipment, computers, bending, reaching and crouching.

3. Body Senses: Must have full use of all five senses: excellent eye sight and depth perception, hearing, touch, smell and taste, full power of speech. These vision requirements in each area must be sufficient to analyze the quality of the jobs.

Strength: Must be able to lift 100 lbs. with regularity.

MENTAL:

1. Mathematics: Must be able to do basic mathematical calculations to verify inventory counts.

2. Language: Must be able to communicate effectively in English (and preferably also in Spanish) both verbally and in writing well enough to read reports, work orders, process instructions and other paperwork, take instructions from the Director of Operations and communicate with fellow employees.

3. Mechanical: Must be able to understand the capabilities and limitations of PTP tools, equipment and machines.

4. Spatial: Must have the basic ability to read reports, work orders, manifests, and invoices.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

1. Ability to guide, direct, and coordinate multiple employees in the Company.

2. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, drawings and other documents required for a product cut order.

3. Keen attention to detail and quality with an aptitude for technology.

4. Excellent communicator and leader who possesses integrity and trustworthiness.

5. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.

6. Sound knowledge about safety measures and precautions.

7. Organized individual who is quality and results oriented with the ability to understand and balance all business considerations.

8. Excellent knowledge of the Company’s industry and trends impacting its business.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop monthly plan to determine resource requirements identify potential production constraints, and resolve conflicts

2. Develop weekly production plan every Friday for next week’s production beginning on Monday include report on current weeks production results versus prior week’s schedule Friday schedule to be reviewed and approved by Director of Operations or designee

3. Prepare rolling two-day shop floor schedule used to run shop. Schedule should not be changed without approval from the Director of Operations or designee

4. Prepare tracking report for all work orders reporting material cost, employee hours, and quality results for each job

5. Prepare periodic variance report comparing job estimates to: job cost and schedule compliance to weekly production plan

6. Develop production process standard operating practices

7. Develop quality standards and document work order quality versus standards prior to shipment – Periodically report quality results

8. Conduct employee performance evaluations on the subordinates at least annually.

9. Fairly and consistently apply Company and personnel policies within the cut production area

10. Train and cross-train all production personnel and train an individual as a production lead as a backup for the Production Manager to cover absences.

11. Update PTP safety manual and enforce the Company’s safety policies within the warehouse and production areas

12. Production Manager must continuously maintain understanding of materials used for work orders to effectively work with Sales to have all materials available to start work order cutting work order on time.

13. Develop planned maintenance schedule for facilities and production equipment and monitor compliance to schedule.

14. Assure that all routine maintenance materials and operating supplies are available to avoid production delays, schedule changes and/or equipment or machine downtime.

15. Keeps the OSHA requirements up to date for the certification of the company.
