Portland Bee Balm is looking to hire a full-time Production Assistant to help out with our entire production process. We're a local, all-natural lip balm manufacturer. Your schedule would be Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week with flexible start and end times.
We are a small team of 9 individuals working together to make lip balms in the best way possible with the highest-quality ingredients we can source. We care about each other, our customers, our vendors, our local community, and the planet. We strive to evaluate the impacts of all our decisions with care. We have an employee profit share and open-books policy, meaning all company financial information is shared with every employee. We are a growing company and frequently pitch in to help each other out on tasks outside of our job description. We want someone with drive, honesty, and integrity that is excited to grow with the company and wants to be part of what we are building together.
The work can at times be repetitive, but attention to detail is important. Several thousand tubes of lip balm make up a batch and each of those tubes needs to be handled at various stages of the process. This is something people will put on their bodies, so we want to make sure we remain careful and focused. Flexibility with an ever-evolving, ever-improving workplace and its production processes is paramount. Familiarity with concepts of lean manufacturing is a plus, but by no means required.

$16.50/hour, biweekly payroll, plus employee profit share (paid quarterly)

This position requires prolonged periods of sitting, regular lifting of 10 lbs, occasional lifting of 50lbs, and repeated/prolonged fine motor movement.
