Job Description – Metal Fabricator/Fitter
Description
This employee produces a completed fixture or other fabrications by using raw materials, welders, shears, press brakes, drill presses, saws and assorted hand tools and other fab shop related tools along with the supplied drawings to meet the production goals in accordance with company policies and procedures.
This position requires an individual with a high degree of experience and who is very quality-minded. Work is varied and custom. This individual must be a self-starter and be available to work overtime and weekends as needed.
This person must also be a creative thinker and have the ability to envision the end product when fabrication is taking place.
Job Requirements
Perform custom MIG and TIG and welding and Fit Up job duties as required
Have the ability to expertly weld stainless steel, carbon steel and Aluminum.
Must be able to read blue prints to perform welding and fit-up responsibilities
Must be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision
May require some offsite work
Valid driver’s license required
Verifiable experience in metal fabrication
Operate overhead crane, miscellaneous types of cranes and forklift
Requires the ability to operate basic hand tools and measuring devices.
Ability to safely use all metal fabrication related tools.
Good attitude and good attendance is a must.
