Mechanical Assembly
Our client, designs and manufactures high-performance valves, pipes, actuation and fittings that are designed for the most demanding applications such as chemical processing, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, refining and power generation.
SUMMARY
This is an entry-level, all encompassing position working for a small manufacturing business. You will learn how to receive the raw materials, assemble the product from start to finish, then package and ship the product. Successful employees will be reliable and have a "can do" attitude.
PAY: $20/hr.
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm
DUTIES:
Uses various hand tools and power tools and equipment to assemble fabricated parts to subassemblies and complete units
Fit, test, and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
Assembles parts in established sequence and procedures to assure quality of fit and operation.
Work under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area when required.
Examines components to be assembled to assure they are correct, including size, material and machining and consult Lead on questionable issues.
Operates pneumatic testing (air seat test) equipment to assure integrity of completed component.
Adjusts component parts to assure proper fit.
Sets up and performs special testing based on routing sheet specifications and assures that all routing sheet specifications are accomplished.
Follow procedures on examining product quality and fit.
Use basic computer skills to verifies and records customized specs for each customer product.
Use basic computer skills to complete data recordings for quality and processes issues as required.
Completes daily, weekly, and monthly 5S requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Maintain schedule and complete work tasks consistently with a positive and helpful attitude.
Skill in the care and use of applicable hand, pneumatic, hydraulic and electric tools and equipment.
Basic math and computer skills required
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High degree of physical and mental dexterity and visual attention for sustained period required.
Ability to sustain moderate physical effort, working with light to medium weight material.
High school education
Able to complete annual training on the proper handling of hazardous waste generated at the paint booth as needed.
