Shift

The shift choice is day shift 5AM-5:30PM or swing shift 5PM-5:30AM. Typical working days are Monday - Friday.

Some work weeks are less hours and the days to work are Tuesday - Friday or Monday-Thursday.

Job Description

The inspector conducts visual inspections of the parts on the production floor at the machine. Performs various quality control inspections and approves materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; and rejecting unacceptable material. Ensures that product fulfills all customer specifications and quality requirements. Independently performs a wide range of duties under general guidance from supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Follows the visual quality criterial for inspection of the part.

Identifies nonconforming parts, segregate, and document deficiencies according to work instructions.

Communicates to the Production Supervisor and/or Quality Manager/Technician any questionable non-conforming parts.

Maintains, tests, calibrates, and troubleshoots all instrumentation devices.

Resolves concerns on questionable parts.

Submits quality records for all parts inspected at the end of job.

Provides training and support when needed.

All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma and/or GED preferred.

One year experience as an inspector, or working in a manufacturing environment, or other comparable experience.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to understand and carry out detailed written or verbal instructions.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Familiarity with visual inspection techniques preferred.

Wages

New hires generally start at $18.00 per hour.

Salary range for this role is $18.00 to $20.00.

Employees will receive vacation based on their length of service as explained below. Employees will receive sick time at the rate of one hour of sick time for every hour worked. Employees receive 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.

Vacation accrual is as follows based on the employee's length of service.

0-4 years accrues at 1.54 hours per week worked with an annual accrual of 80 hours maximum.

5-14 years accrues at 2.31 hours per week worked with an annual accrual of 120 hours maximum.

15-19 years accrues at 3.08 hours per week worked with an annual accrual of 160 hours maximum.

20 years or more accrues at 3.85 hours per week worked with an annual accrual of 200 hours maximum.

General Description of Other Compensation: ConMet provides a monthly wellness credit for up to $50 for eligible gym or fitness related expenses.
