An Inspection Technician, or quality inspector, monitors the quality of parts on our production floor. Our ideal candidate is a person who is detail oriented and trustworthy. Common tasks include dimensional and cosmetic inspection with a comparison to blueprint specifications. You will need a keen eye for detail and familiarity with measurement tools. Training is available.
Job Duties
Read blueprints, specifications and job travelers per industry standards.
Measure manufactured parts with calipers, protractors, and gauges.
Compare all measured values to specifications and tolerances described on the blueprints and specifications.
A passing part must meet all written requirements.
Report any problems found, or questionable measurements, to shop foreman or manager.
Record inspection records in our computer system per written standard.
Capabilities
Must be able to lift 35lbs frequently.
Have a high mechanical aptitude and ability to work with a wide variety of inspection tools.
Knowledge of basic math skills including decimal place value, some basic geometry and trigonometry.
Excellent work ethic, dependability, and attendance.
Able to speak, read and write in English.
Cross training may be offered to fill available hours.
Job Conditions/Physical Requirements
Work performed in factory setting. Exposure to shop environment such as noise, dust, odors and fumes. You will regularly stand, reach and move about the production area.
