Facilities Maintenance Technician

Our client is a contract packer or co-packer, co-packs ready to drink beverage products in aluminum cans ranging from juices, energy drinks, teas and carbonated soda drinks in a wide variety of aluminum can sizes.

Summary:

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building upkeep, minor mechanical repairs, and performing accurate inspections of facility equipment.

Duties:

Assist in performing routine repairs, including fixing doors, windows.

Help with minor carpentry, painting, and drywall patching tasks.

Repairs or replaces pipes, faucets, toilets, sinks while helping to identify and resolve minor leaks or clogs.

Assist with basic electrical work, such as replacing light bulbs and resetting breakers

Aids in basic HVAC heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Aids in cleaning and replacing filters or components as needed.

Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.

Documents work performed in preventive maintenance database.

Responds to preventive work orders and closes them out in the computer system when the jobs have been completed.

Coordinates with Scheduling if maintenance activities at a workstation are expected to shut down production for more than one hour.

Utilize the current computer system to document all maintenance activities for tracking purposes.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

1+ year(s) experience building maintenance in an industrial or commercial setting, manufacturing environment preferred

Personal hand tools required

Proficient knowledge of general maintenance processes and procedures.

Basic knowledge of plumbing, HVAC systems & general carpentry

Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices

Knowledge of OSHA Safety Standards and Regulations

Excellent problem solving skills & communication.

Shift: Monday-Friday 6am - 2:30pm

Pay: Up to $30/hr for well qualified candidates
