Job Skills and Requirements
The ideal Warehouse Manager candidate can balance the roles of receiving and tracking inventory, fulfilling customer orders, and delivering amazing customer service by email.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a comparable Warehouse/Fulfillment position is required.
Time Management
Our ideal candidate can balance the tasks of Fulfillment, Inventory Management, Supply Purchasing, Quality Control, and Customer Service in an efficient manner. Must be capable of independently planning how to execute tasks relating to each of these roles within a single workday.
Organized
Receive inventory, define the storage area for each product, and track the number of pieces we have week to week with 100% accuracy.
Communication
Must proactively communicate with the business owner to address problems as they arise, and ensure continued efficient operations. Must be able to email customers and suppliers quickly, with professional, accurate responses that do not take undue amounts of time to send.
Problem Solving
This position requires strong problem solving skills to help address customer issues by email.
Attention to Detail
Must see the aesthetic and functional details that make our products exceptional, and minimize the risk of unacceptable quality reaching our customers
Position Description
The Warehouse Manager oversees the receiving, assembly, kitting, and fulfillment of our products. The position provides customer service support by email, assisting with exchanges, returns, warranty, shipping questions, product questions, and other matters. Inventory is tracked weekly, and updated to online spreadsheets. The manager creates work plans for an associate to assist with assembly, kitting, and fulfillment responsibilities.
Inventory Receiving and Tracking
-optimize the placement of inventory to make counting efficient and accurate
-conduct quality control on batches of parts to confirm conformance to our standards
-update counts of parts and assembled products, forecast outages and purchasing needs
Kitting and Assembly
-prepare the accessories and instructions that ship with each product
-oversee the assembly of our Waterpipe product line by our warehouse associate
-assign various assembly, quality control, and warehouse management tasks to the warehouse associate
-Work closely with the e-Commerce team to determine and plan for unique assembly, packaging, bundling and shipping requirements
Order Fulfillment
-ship all smokeheir.com customer orders within 1-2 days. This process entails creating shipping labels (shipstation software), assembling shipping boxes, packing boxes accurately with order items, and ensuring product quality while packing.
-restock shipping boxes and various warehouse supplies as needed
Customer Service
-respond to customer service tickets (gorgias software) within 24 hours on questions ranging from shipping to product support.
