Interstate Meat Distributors, Inc. is a family owned business and the largest meat distributor in the northwest and services all 50 states. We specialize in ground beef and pork and specialty steaks and roasts. We are growing and looking to expand.
We have the following position currently available:
Swing Shift Production Lead/Supervisor
Monday- Friday (5 x 8) swing shift from 3:00pm to 12:30am+ Saturdays if needed and Sunday off.
Qualifications: Perform or oversee
Call in supplies and boxes needed for night’s production from forklift operators.
Break down all lines after the night’s production (tapers, labels etc.).
Perform scale checks.
Get box machine loaded and ready to run.
Meet with line leaders and discuss orders, night’s production, and trailer necessity.
Load orders onto trailer throughout the night.
Maintain trailer logs as loading trailer.
Meet with logistics manager to go over the night’s trailer necessity.
Send necessary paperwork to assistant logistics manager for review and invoicing.
Throughout the night, check labels for correct information. Do quality checks on finished products and box condition.
Responsible for making sure all production and shipping counts are correct and following all the necessary procedures in place to do so.
Confirm proper tares on scales throughout the night.
Maintain communication with grinders, maintenance, operators, and management to maintain or improve efficiency.
Communicate trailer needs with yard coordinator or logistics.
Oversee all cooler operations including employee practices and ensure all SSOPs, SOPs, and GMPs are being followed.
Communicate any issues with employees, product, machinery etc. with Plant manager as soon as they are discovered.
Communicate any maintenance issues to the maintenance department as soon as they are discovered.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate a positive work attitude towards both internal and external customers and fellow workers.
Self-directed with strong time management skills.
Must be able to communicate in person and over the radio in English and Spanish.

Wages start between $18 -$20 hour depending on experience. Actual scale is higher.
