Roadmaster is seeking a Technical Writer to join our team. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation for our products and services. Roadmaster manufactures products for specific vehicles thereby requiring unique instructions for each vehicle. You will work closely with our installers and engineers in order to document the installation process. Later you will refine those documents into clear and concise installation instructions. The ideal candidate has strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate technical information.
Duties:
- Create and update technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and release notes
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and understand product functionality
- Research and analyze technical information to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Use tools such as Adobe suite to create diagrams and illustrations to enhance documentation
- Proofread and edit documents for grammar, clarity, and consistency
- Organize and maintain a library of technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation meets the needs of end-users
- Continuously improve documentation processes and standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer or similar role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to organize complex information
- Proficiency in using word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word)
- Familiarity with Video editing and photography is a plus
- Ability to research technical topics independently
- Knowledge of document version control systems is a plus
