Oregon, Portland, 97201 Portland USA

Our small business, Angioletti Designs (www.angiolettidesigns.com), is looking for a motivated, dependable person to join our team. We are located in the SE Foster and 92nd area.

This position is on an independent contractor to hire basis, 10 - 25 hours a week. The schedule is very flexible - this would be a great position for someone wishing to augment their current income, work while going to school etc. As our business grows there is an opportunity for additional hours and increased pay.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

The job entails applying waterslide transfer decals (images and text) to porcelain such as teacups, plates, and teapots. This is the bulk of the work.

Additional duties include setting up your workstation and general tasks such as organizing, helping with inventory etc.

Preferred shifts run Monday through Friday during the daytime.

Typical start time is 10 am, negotiable to a certain point. 6 hours per day minimum.

Pay starts at $15 and will go up to $17-$18 once you reach a certain speed and accuracy. We have a 2-month training period after which we'll evaluate further.

WE ASK THAT YOU:

1. BE ON TIME. Seriously.

2. Have an eye for symmetry. This is one of the most important skills we are looking for.

3. Be motivated.

4. Be able to take direction. This will be important especially in the beginning stages of learning.

5. Be able to concentrate and avoid errors. They will happen, but we would like to minimize them as much as possible.

6. Have great attention to detail. This is one of the main skills we require.

7. Are ok with work that can be tedious. It can take a while to learn the application process, certain days may entail making 100 pieces of the exact same item. At times you may want to throw a teacup or two.

8. Progress at a reasonable rate. There is a certain volume that needs to go out once training is complete. You will be given clear expectations over the course of your training.

9. Background in decal application preferred but not required.

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR TEMPORARY WORK. Training takes time and we need someone who wants to stay with us for a while. This job is ideal if you are looking for a long-term engagement.

WHERE WILL I BE WORKING?

This is a casual work environment - you will be working in our house, a daylight basement room will be all yours after training is complete. With plants and sometimes a cat. Provided your speed and accuracy don’t suffer, you can listen to music, podcasts, audiobooks or watch TV. You will have access to coffee/tea, a microwave, freezer and refrigerator.

OTHER NOTES/REQUIREMENTS:

Use your cell phone only during break hours or for short calls. No hour-long conversations or excessive texting during work hours.

We have cats. We keep them out of the work area as much as possible, but it may be difficult if you have allergies.

Long and artificial nails - these will make decal application very difficult, sometimes not possible at all. Sad but true. I tried.

This is repetitive work - you'll be sitting a lot, applying decals for most of your shift.

We customize porcelain for a variety of clients, at times there is profanity involved (we do NOT tolerate discriminating content, ever. Any customer requesting inappropriate customization will not be working with us).

If this sounds like a good fit we would love to hear from you! Please include your resume or details about your previous employment.

WHEN REPLYING please put "Angioletti Designs" in the subject line or body of your message.

Thank you and we are excited to meet you!
