The contractor will not work on company holidays (all the federal holidays) and they also won't work during the client's 2-week holiday shutdown towards the end of the year (dates are TBD)Start date: ASAPPay rate - $90-$100/hr DOESchedule: 8-hour days, 40-hour work weeks, Monday-Friday.Location:This position can be fully remote (candidates must be located on the West Coast), fully onsite at the San Mateo, CA 94402 office, or a hybrid of both Temporary Contract AttorneyOur client is seeking a temporary contract attorney to support contract review and other legal projects. This role will primarily support the commercial contract function, providing review of procurement contracts, brand and marketing, and product development.ResponsibilitiesDraft, review, and revise various procurement-side agreements, including SaaS Agreements, Technology License Agreements, NDA's, DPA's, Service Agreements, Independent Contractor Agreements, and Creative Vendor Agreements.Draft, review, and revise various revenue-side agreements, including advertising placement and campaign insertion orders.Update or create legal policies, contract playbooks, processes, and standard operating procedures by collecting requirements from various legal stakeholders.Review, clean up, and close out contract lifecycle management workflows.Update and improve templates and clause libraries.Review and interpret contracts/terms to create legal summaries in support of diligence projects.Web and legal research to inform compliance programs and to educate the department on evolving regulations, policies, and standards affecting the business.QualificationsJ.D. with license to practice law in a US state, ideally California licensed.4+ years of relevant legal experience (may be a combination of in-house and law firm).Strong contract drafting and redlining skills.Experience using playbooks and legal drafting and review standards to review and negotiating commercial agreements.Ability to work closely with members of the legal department to translate feedback into contract redlines and responses.Highly organized with the ability to manage projects from initial idea phases to the final deliverable.A diligent, independent worker with a bias towards action and moving projects and deliverables forward.Preferred QualificationsExperience in technology procurement and advertising in the eCommerce or tech industryFamiliarity with contract lifecycle management systems (e.g., Legisway, Docusign, etc.)Working privacy knowledge of US privacy lawsBeacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.California residents: Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.If you would like to complete our voluntary self-identification form, please click here or copy and paste the following link into an open window in your browser: https://jobs.beaconhillstaffing.com/eeoc/Completion of this form is voluntary and will not affect your opportunity for employment, or the terms or conditions of your employment.
