Vendetta Productions LLC is seeking multiple candidates to fulfill the role of Workshop Assistant(s) to help build, setup, and tear down their upcoming Halloween event, Scaregrounds PDX and Christmas event, Winter Gleam. This seasonal job will be offered through the months of April 2024-January 2025; with the potential to become full-time/year-round to the right candidate.This position has TWO JOB LOCATIONS; Woodland, WA is where you will be working during the months of April-August 2024 and Portland, OR at Oaks Amusement Park during the months of September 2024-January 2025. About the Event: ScareGroundsPDX (https://scaregroundspdx.com) is Portland Oregon's premier Halloween Event and Haunted House held annually at the historic Oaks Amusement Park. As the area's only real scream park, in addition to (3) separate haunted houses, the event also features amusement rides, themed side attractions, mini golf, roller skating, concessions and so much more! In addition, VendettaProductions LLC will be introducing their very first Christmas event, Winter Gleam!Responsibilities Include: Assist in organizing/cleaning of the shop space (Woodland, WA) Setup, tear down, and labeling of ‘sceneries’ or other key pieces for Haunt/Christmas season that will go in/out of storage (Woodland, WA) Moving of various props/sceneries/equipment/exterior pieces (i.e. walls for the Haunt/Christmas attractions) via by hand and/or vehicle to proper storage and/or correct location when the building/tear down of both the Haunt/Christmas season start and end. (Woodland, WA and Oaks Park) Maintain necessary upkeep to ensure smooth operations of Haunted Attractions/Christmas attractions during the season (Oaks Park; September 2024-January 2025) Helping with various tasks as directed by the General Foreman Position Details:Hourly Compensation: $18-$22 (Depending on Experience)Location: Woodland, WA Workshop (March 2024-August 2025), Portland, OR at the Oaks Amusement Park (September 2024-January 2025)Full-Time commitment: 30-40 hours a week from April 2024 to January 2025. Job Requirements: Proficient with power tools (i.e. drill/driver, circular saw, sander, router, etc) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the day Ability to multitask and work in a variety of trades Must have a good attitude and be willing to learn new skills Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites Must be at least 18 years of age High School Diploma or equivalent required Ability to work well with others Ability to take clear verbal/written communication/direction Able to communicate with others effectively Able to work in an outdoor environment in various weather conditions Job Recommendations: 1-2 years of experience in the construction, demo, or theatre is recommended, but not required.
