We’re currently looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our production team. In this hands-on role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring our equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities would include:
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of small engines and construction equipment.
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers, including fleet service tasks.
Accurately document all repairs and services using provided forms and checklists.
Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to meet maintenance schedules and operational needs.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Troubleshoot and repair trailer components, including brake systems and electrical wiring.
Drive company trucks with trailers as needed (must hold a valid driver’s license).
Maintain an organized inventory system for tracking equipment, trucks, and trailers—including check-in and check-out logs.
Perform full system checks on equipment, trucks, and trailers upon return to the yard.
Assist the Fleet Manager, lead mechanic, and yard staff as needed.
Pick up and deliver parts or materials to job sites throughout the Portland Metro area using a company vehicle.
Operate a forklift safely and in accordance with company procedures.
Preferred but not required:
Welding abilities
DOT inspection certified
Fork Lift certified
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in small engine repair or completion of relevant technical training.
Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.

Benefits:
Employees are eligible for a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance after 90 days of service. Specific plan details and eligibility criteria will be provided during onboarding. LaRusso Concrete currently covers 100% of the premium for both single and family coverage.
Additional benefits may include:
· Up to one week of sick pay annually, typically available after 3 months of employment
· One week of paid vacation, generally available after 6 months of employment
· An additional week may be granted after two years of service, with the potential for further accrual in future years
· Eligibility to enroll in our 401(k) program after 6 months of service
· An annual bonus, which may be awarded based on company performance and profitability
You will automatically be enrolled in our ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Program) after one year of service
