U-Store Self Storage is looking for a Maintenance person to assist in up-keeping our 33 facility storage division in Oregon and Washington. Previous experience in facility maintenance or a related field is preferred. Must have basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work. Must have a strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent time management and organization skills are required. Must also have physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Job Summary
The Maintenance Person is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of facilities through a variety of maintenance tasks. This role requires a proactive individual who can identify issues, perform repairs, and maintain equipment to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
Duties
General exterior maintenance duties, carpentry, roof inspections, door repairs, pavement maintenance, removal and disposal of large items.
General plumbing maintenance including but not limited to replacement and installation of faucets, pipes (waste, roof, and common line), hot water tanks, toilets, urinals, garbage disposals, soldering, snake minor and major plumbing lines, pumps, and washing machines.
General electrical maintenance including but not limited to replacement or installation of power switches, receptacles, light ballast, fuses, wall sockets, ceiling lights, ceiling fans, climate control systems, run new electrical lines, capability to troubleshoot electrical lines, and conduit installation.
General painting and drywall repair including but not limited to filling in small holes, replacing walls, installing wallboards to ceilings or to interior walls of buildings and applying plaster, applying coats of compound after panels are mounted to walls or ceilings, repairing holes, removing old paint, and mixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces.
Carry out various general repairs, general carpentry, general plumbing repairs and blockages, painting and floor repairs, furniture repairs, doors, and paver maintenance.
Must have a good driving record and be able to drive a company vehicle. Ability to pass a background check and drug screen is required.
Position is Monday-Friday, compensation is hourly, starting rate DOE.
Pay: $20-$25 per hour.
