Guardian has an immediate need for a Maintenance Technician to join our experienced and committed team at PROPERTY!

Kateri Park, Esperanza Court, Howard House, and Chiles House are affordable (LIHTC) apartment communities in Portland, OR with 161 units.

We are seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Maintenance Assistant to support in the required cleaning and minor property maintenance necessary to maintain curb appeal and the overall appearance and quality of the property. A Maintenance Assistant’s primary role is to assist and support in the required cleaning and minor property maintenance necessary to maintain curb appeal and the overall appearance and quality of the property/ies listed above. This will include processing work orders as assigned by the Community Manager/s and/or Maintenance Lead/Supervisor/s which may include routine maintenance of property/ies and apartment units. This position is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance work is done in compliance with OSHA regulations and Guardian policies and procedures. We are willing to train the right individual, so this is an excellent entry level opportunity for individuals interested in a career in property maintenance.

Schedule: 40 hours / week, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Compensation: $18-$21/hr

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

The requirements listed below are representative, but not exclusive of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

High school diploma or GED.

Possess basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and product use.

Possess basic knowledge of building and grounds maintenance such as changing lightbulbs, raking.

Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to speak, read and write in English.

Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to complete company training requirements for this position within pre-determined deadlines and attend other training sessions as required.

Possess basic computer-literacy and willingness to complete regular tasks using standard computer or web-based technology.
