Objective – Operations Supervisor:
The position of Operations Supervisor is a highly trustworthy position responsible for assuring that all contracts are performed at the level described in the Scope of Work and meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations. The Operations Supervisor verifies that employees are adequately trained in how to clean their assigned account/s, operate needed equipment and safely execute job procedures while achieving the operational metrics for the business. This position requires a high level of communication skills related to FLEs, management staff and clients. On the job experience will be favorably considered. The Operations Supervisor must have high standards and the ability to correct deficiencies in a timely manner. Their goal is to continuously improve overall performance at each assigned account while operating within budget guidelines. Qualified people will preferably have a minimum of two years’ previous experience. A deep understanding of operational terms, planning, execution and metrics is required. The demonstrated ability to manage inventories, schedule staff and manage multiple projects at the same time is key to success in this role.
Job Responsibilities:
Assign janitorial duties to staff and regularly inspect their work to ensure that established standards are met
Manage inventory, control and reports
Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to janitorial staff as needed
Provide hands on training and continued guidance to janitorial staff
Control labor hours and overtime (OT)
Create backup plans for any absences and cover shifts if necessary
Attending meetings and in-service training sessions as required
Work in partnership with the Project Lead to schedule, complete and review completed project work
Capacity planning in collaboration with Human Resources for all assigned accounts
Execute cleaning inspections, communicate and follow-up with directly the management staff and clients
Create, communicate and execute the capacity planning for all the accounts assigned in collaboration with Human Resources
Comply with the Material Safety Data Sheets and all the operational procedures
Planning and execute the reviews and recognitions for FLEs in collaboration with Human Resources
Other duties as directed by the Operations Manager and/or General Manager
Requirements and Skills:
High school diploma or GED is preferred
Proven experience working as a Janitorial Supervisor is preferred
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
Working knowledge of various cleaning methods
Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets or willingness to learn
The ability to lift heavy equipment and to stand for extended periods of time
Excellent organizational, communicational and customer service skills
Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
