Irrigation Technician $18 - $25/hr

As an Irrigation Technician in our Residential Maintenance division, you are responsible to monitor, service, and repair irrigation systems, and perform other landscape maintenance tasks when irrigation season slows.Benefits and PayThe wage range is $18 to $25 per hour and is dependent upon experience.Cell phone reimbursementBenefits: Get paid weekly, health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, 401K with company match, on the job training, and opportunities for growth.Uniforms are providedWork ScheduleYou’ll work Monday to Friday, up to 10-hour shifts (with overtime in the peak season), starting between 6:00 and 7:00 am depending on the season.Your workday is finished when the route is complete, which is around 8-10 hours, but this can vary.We provide transportation from our shop in SE Portland to job sites. You’ll drive a work van from the shop to the job sites.What You’ll DoRenovate, troubleshoot and repair irrigation systemsEvaluate irrigation systems and report conditions to Account ManagerProvide suggestions and pricing to Account Manager to upgrade irrigation systemsPerform spring turn-ons and winterizationsRecommend water-wise irrigation products and upgrades to Account ManagerProgram irrigation controllers both in the field and remotely.Stock service vehicle with proper parts and tools in an organized mannerProperly complete paperwork on work performed in a timely mannerUse powered and hand tools, such as.Work outside in all weather conditionsWhat You’ll Need1 year irrigation repair experienceExperience in irrigation programingValid driver license with insurable recordEnjoy working on a team of professionals, working hard, and following instructions.Able to work alone and manage your own time.Able to use a smartphone and work apps to document hours and work completedShow up on time and ready for work each day.Able to pass a pre-employment drug testHave legal documentation to work in the United States.Be able to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, twist, climb, and squat.Able to lift 50 pounds daily.Able to communicate in English to clients is preferredAbout UsDennis’ 7 Dees is a family-owned and operated business with deep roots in the Portland area.
