Installer Assistant Needed
We are a small, family-owned fireplace sales and installation business. This could be an amazing opportunity for the right person. If you have some construction experience, are not afraid of heights and have a willingness to learn and be helpful…this could be you! We need someone to assist our experienced fireplace and venting installers. This position is temporary; 3-4 months, HOWEVER, it may lead to a permanent full-time position for a motivated, positive and helpful individual.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum age of 18.
Must be able to read and write English.
Able to follow directions, both written and oral.
Clean driving record, (ability to be added to our commercial insurance).
Valid Driver’s license
High School Diploma or GED.
General knowledge of home construction.
Able to legally work in the United States.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Operate company vehicle daily.
Follow instructions from the supervisor and carry them out in a timely manner.
Work well with customers, co-workers, and subcontractors.
Complete all necessary paperwork, and timecards.
Other duties as assigned including warehouse.
Operate a forklift.
Keep company vehicle clean and organized.
Come to work clean and ready to work.
Dependable – show up on time – essential for scheduling.
Physical Demands:
Working in tight spaces.
Ability to lift 150 lbs.
Ability to reach, twist, push, pull, carry, and maneuver as needed.
Ability to work comfortably from a ladder
Need to be able to manipulate objects with your fingers
Ability to safely use a variety of common tools and industry specific tools.
Work Environment:
Exposed to the outdoor environment and extreme temperatures at times.
Work on ladders and rooves.
Working on-site at the client’s home
Occasional high levels of dust
Occasional high levels of noised

Job Type: Temporary (with the possibility of becoming a permanent position)
Hourly $21 to start
Expected hours: 30-40 per week, possible OT
Schedule:
7am to 3pm
Monday to Friday
Overtime as needed
