We are a "Labor Only" (no trucks) Household Moving Company servicing PDX Metro and all surrounding areas since 2013.
Scopes of labor include: Packing Boxes, Disassembly/Prepping/Wrapping Furniture, Loading and Unloading Moving Trucks/Trailers/ Shipping Containers/PODS/U-Hauls/Relo-Cubes, etc We also help with on-site furniture shuffles, heavy items (Pianos, Hot Tubs, Safes, etc).
We are a tightly knit crew that has each-other's backs through thick and thin. WE WILL NOT TOLERATE DISHONESTY OR IMMATURITY. This is a physically and mentally demanding job at times and it's important to work as a team! Some days are also super easy with great TIPPin addition to hourly pay, travel bonuses, heavy/oversize item bonuses, and more!.
If your customer service is on point and you are pulling your weight then you can clear $35+ per hour any given shift
Entry level moving labor wage starts at $20-$22/hour depending on experience and training needed. We also pay an additional Travel Bonus per job ($10-$20+ based on jobsite location). Your labor wage time starts and ends on a client's job site and includes a 2-Hour Minimum, pro-rated in 15min (0.25 hour) increments thereafter. SOME JOBS LAST 15-30MINS AND YOU STILL GET PAID 2-HOUR MINIMUM
You need to earn your stripes here Prove that you are trustworthy, dependable, on-time, clean/sober, and not afraid to sweat and work hard for 8+ hours when needed and we will reward you with more hours and raises and you will earn more opportunities for great tips especially if you demonstrate A+ customer service abilities.
You have full control of your schedule with us, just tell us what days you are available on a weekly basis and take the days off that you need. Weekends are our busiest days so we especially value those who can work most Saturday's and Sunday's.
This is a part-time job to start, 10-25 hours a week to start. There are fuller time hours (25-35 hours/week) available to those who want and can handle the work. Many days are 1/2 days.
Weekly Payroll, checks are cut every Friday and we are generous at offering raises quickly to people who earn them! Your first performance review will happen within 3-4 weeks depending on how many jobs you cover.
No employee is required to take out of town jobs but many of our crew members enjoy out of town jobs. We will go anywhere a customer pays us to go. Some days are short and easy while other days may require 8+ hours of hard work and solving puzzles/problems as a team.
Requirements to apply
You must be able to lift 75LBS over your head and 150+ LBS to your waist repetitively while maneuvering stairs.
You must be in good health to perform intense physical labor for upto 10 hours when needed. If you have any of the following conditions please do not apply here: Asthma, Diabetes, Neck/Back/Knees/Shoulder problems, Mental or Addiction issues, Poor physical condition, other diagnosed or "inhibiting" diseases that prevent above average physical exertion
You must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation to reach various jobsite locations 0-100 Miles from where you live (travel bonuses increase based on further distances to cover gas and then some)

P.S. If you are a Seasoned/Experienced HHG Mover (van-lines, full service, etc) please check any "I player" egos at the door before applying here. We prefer great employees we can train over great movers that come with drug problems, reliability/dishonesty/theft issues, overbearing know-it-all attitudes, etc We will ask why you aren't working for other moving companies. We do very much value team players with excellent moving experience and track records and can discuss higher entry pay if you aren't full of impatient or sloppy shortcuts and tricks
