Position Overview:

As the Field Support Gnome, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our business and our gnomes operate at their best and adhere to our high standards. You will support, coach, and hold gnomes accountable while maintaining smooth operational processes within the team. In this role, you will provide direct assistance to our field gnomes and will be the go-to person for field staff, offering support and ensuring they have everything they need to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

Policy and Goals Understanding:

- Fully comprehend and uphold our company policies and expectations.

- Align with and support our long-term business goals and objectives.

Gnome Support and Coaching:

- Train new gnomes in the field and approve them ready to work on their own.

- Provide ongoing coaching, encouragement, and constructive feedback to gnomes.

- Hold gnomes accountable for their performance and behavior within the community.

- Conduct regular drop-ins and on-site evaluations during first-time, recurring and one-time visits to ensure highest standards of quality and consistency.

- Address and coach gnomes following any complaints to improve their performance and adherence to company standards. This can also include drop-in visits.

Issue Management:

- Prepare and manage coaching forms for serious issues or persistent performance problems.

- Educate as needed to help gnomes improve.

Equipment and Supply Maintenance:

- Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of vacuums and other equipment.

- Oversee and maintain laundry operations and ensure the availability of clean, reusable supplies: Wash, dry and sort rags, bags, mops, etc.

- Regularly check inventory levels and coordinate with purchasers to avoid supply shortages.

- Maintain the supply room, laundry room, bathroom cleaned and organized.

- Make sure supplies are always stocked and ready for pickup.

Help with Coverage:

- Provide cleaning coverage when gnomes are unavailable or call out, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. This may look like helping us cover same day scheduling needs to avoid cancellations.

Team Coordination:

- Meet with management weekly to review performance, discuss issues, and strategize improvements.

- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure alignment and address any concerns.

- Communicate with gnomes directly when an issue arises and make an action plan.

- Relay scheduling requests to POD.

Qualifications:

- Experience in a coaching, supervisory and support role.

- Professional experience providing house cleaning services.

- Experience training folks to provide house cleaning services.

- Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team.

- Attention to detail, outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.

- Proficient in inventory management and equipment maintenance.

- Ability to handle situations needing last minute coverage and respond to issues promptly.

- Ability to adapt to various situations and provide support as needed in dynamic field environments.

- Alignment with Tidy Gnomes' values of community, support, and eco-friendly practices.

- Must be able to pass a background check, have a valid driver's license and active car insurance policy.

Compensation

- Training: $20/hr + 100% of Tips, daily mileage reimbursement, and paid drive time.

- After Training: Starting at $22/hr + 100% of Tips, daily mileage reimbursement, and paid drive time.
