Willamette View is seeking a Campus Safety and Security Officer, is responsible for the safety and security of the Willamette View community, including all employees, residents, and visitors, as well as all resources, facilities, and property. Officer will both demonstrate and act in support of the organization's mission and goals, in a manner consistent with Willamette View plans, policies and unique culture.

We are a Senior Living Community located on the Willamette River in the Milwaukie area. We have high rise apartments, free standing homes and duplexes on our 27+ acre campus. Schedule- Friday - Sunday 7am-730pm

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

DPSST certified OR Ability to be certified by DPSST as an Unarmed Security Professional. DPSST training provided at no cost at the time of hire.

Have and maintain a Valid Driver's License with a driving record that demonstrates safe habits and respect for the law.

Work or Volunteer experience in security, community outreach, medical response, residential management, healthcare and/or in a customer service setting where people are upset, intoxicated or uncooperative.

Excellent verbal communication skills

Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel

Uniforms are provided for the Safety and Security position.

Preferred:

Demonstrate some additional training, education and/or military experience beyond high school.

Experience in Law Enforcement, security, emergency management or related experience, particularly in a healthcare setting.

Demonstrated success in dealing with challenging individuals, particularly people in crisis or who have cognitive issues.

Multilingual and/or Bilingual proficiency through speaking, writing or signing.

First Aid/CPR/AED certified or ability to complete within 6 months of hire.
