Title: HR Coordinator

Compensation: DOE

Employment Type: Contract Employee

Work Location: Remote w/ in-person meetings

Farber Swim School is a family owned business offering swim lessons and programs for all ages and abilities. It has a location in Beaverton and another one in SW Portland. FSS is currently looking for an enthusiastic HR Coordinator to join their team as a contract employee. The staff currently consists of 20 part time staff and 3 full time staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Recruitment and Hiring: Crafting job descriptions, managing the hiring process, conducting screening interviews, calling references and onboarding new employees.

Benefits and Compensation: Administering employee benefits and ensuring accurate compensation.

Employee Relations: Handling employee inquiries, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment.

Compliance and Legal: Ensuring the business adheres to labor laws and HR regulations.

Training and Development: Developing and implementing training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

Performance Management: Evaluating employee performance, providing feedback, and supporting employee growth.

Employee Engagement: Creating a culture of engagement and satisfaction among employees.

Policy Development: Creating and implementing company policies related to HR.

CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE:

Strong Communication: Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, both orally and in writing.

Methodical and Organized: Effectively work with policies, procedures, and laws, requiring a methodical and organized approach.

Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing situations and learn new skills is essential in the dynamic HR field.

Problem-Solving: Ability to deal often with complex workplace issues, requiring strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships, resolve conflicts, and navigate sensitive situations require strong interpersonal skills.

COMPENSATION: Based on Experience

JOB TYPE: Contract position (1-10 hours per week)
