About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated pre-Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) candidate to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity to complete the required supervised hours for LPC certification under the mentorship of an experienced, licensed counselor.
Who we are recruiting:
LPC Candidates with 500+ hours of experience. The fewer hours of prior experience, the more we will expect the candidate to prove resourcefulness, organizational skills, and entrepreneurial abilities. As a small practice, our firm is best suited to ambitious, organized, self-starter LPC candidates that are able to manage their own clients, notes, accounts and calendars. This is one of the best ways to learn the ropes of private practice with a support network.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide counseling services under the supervision of a licensed counselor
Participate in case management and treatment planning
Engage in professional development activities, including supervision sessions
Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality
Submit notes for sessions by the end of each week
Ensure patients properly use the Patient Portal, register their insurance and pay deductibles
Conduct all patient appointments through TherapyNotes Video calls
Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in therapy
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
Current registration as an LPC candidate in OR
Commitment to complete required supervised clinical hours for LPC certification
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational skills to ensure client billing and note submission are completed in a timely manner
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations
Demonstrated autonomy to manage caseload and raise questions (case, billing or note related) to supervisor
A commitment to adhere to the ethical standards set forth by the American Counseling Association
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality of patient information
Strong organizational skills to manage documentation requirements
Commitment to professional development and growth within the field of mental health
Must be registered with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists
Must be an Oregon resident
Working with the Supervising Therapist:
Receive mentorship and guidance from an experienced, licensed therapy Supervisor
Supervision sessions will be scheduled regularly to support your professional growth and licensure requirements
Regular supervision sessions ensure a supportive, learning-focused environment to enhance clinical skills and knowledge, ensuring success while working with diverse client populations
Heavily Discounted Supervision Session Rates:
Individual: $60 per session
Group: $50 per session
Note: Supervision sessions are to deep dive into therapeutic work. This is for hours towards licensure and is in addition to ongoing manager support and weekly touch bases.
Compensation Structure:
Highly Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience at Brighter Days Therapy:
0 - 1000 Hours with BDT: $55 per hour
1001 - 2000 Hours with BDT: $60 per hour
2000+ Hours with BDT (Non-Licensed): $65 per hour
Ability to earn $5/ hr bonuses on all sessions when holding 15 or more weekly sessions, including note submission and collected deductible (bonus model to be discussed with contract)

Requirements:
Must work a minimum of 750 hours (client sessions), including notes submission, each year
Minimum Commitment: 16 clinical hours per week, 47 weeks per year
Must maintain active liability insurance
This is a full time role and LPC candidates can not work for other Therapy practices or agencies while employed with BDT.
