I am a 63-year-old inspirational writer and football coach in Lake Oswego. I have had ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) for 42 years. I was diagnosed at 21 years of age and told I could expect to live just three years. In other words, I will be here a long time.
This position is likely PART TIME. Could develop into FULL TIME.
I am looking for someone to join my team and cover 24-30 hours per week.
These are three evening shifts between Monday and Friday. Shifts start between 2:30am to 4pm and end between 11:30pm and 12. Open right now are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. There could be some flexibility on days, we would just need to talk about it.
I need someone willing and able to fill in for others when coworkers are sick or on vacation.
I love animals and have a cat named Zade. EVERYBODY (even cat haters) loves Zade. I may get more pets and need my caregivers to help me take care of them, so you will need to be ok with animals.
Night shifts pay $27/hour. Day shifts $25/hour.

This job DOES involve personal care. It is a CAREGIVING Personal Assistant position. Caregiving experience is helpful, but not vital. You can learn everything you need to do this job from one of my team members. If you are able to perform some handyman type duties (experience with tools, autos, electronics, etc, and providing muscle) that is a definite bonus, although not a requirement.

This is a one on one situation in my home, NOT the typical nightmare of caring for five, six, or eight or more people in a group home or facility. If you are strong enough to transfer me without a lift that is a MAJOR PLUS, but a Hoyer lift is available.
