Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join a team of independent contractors working at Milk Creek Ranch. Milk Creek Ranch, along side their non profit Horse Power, provides Equine Facilitated Therapy in Mulino, Oregon. We are looking for a provider that has their own private practice to join our team for 1-3 days a week. This job includes and office onsite, an equine specialist per session, and use of horses and facilities. Job includes flexibility of schedule, and the ability to have your office on site, or shared office free of charge for use of non-equine sessions. The provider does not have to have experience with horses!
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this opportunity is a clinician who is looking to expand their private practice to include a unique modality. The ideal candidate is a person who has a love of the outdoors and is open to (or already has) equine experience. This this is not like other equine programs in the area! During your session time the entire ranch is yours for you and your client. You have access to work with 6 horses, 3 goats and 1 very happy golden retriever on several acres of well cared for property!

Responsibilities
Complete intake sessions, individual sessions and family sessions
Work with our QMHA Equine Specialist for every equine session
Provide comprehensive care to clients as seen by exploring treatment plan and goals with equine specialist
Provide your resources for your private practice (LLC, EHR etc.)
Collect and document data on patient progress and behavior for assessment by healthcare providers.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all client by adhering to established protocols and guidelines: both clinical and ranch based.
Not a requirement. A provider who would like to host groups that encorporate equine facilitated therapy
Requirements
LPC, LMFT full licensure is preferred, LCSW or associate providers may be considered
10 minimum sessions weekly
Be open to schedule arena/equine time with 2 other providers
Experience working with children or adolescents is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining professionalism at all times.
A compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in helping individuals improve their mental health is crucial.
